My moth...That's so sad that she never heard it. My mother also thought it some kind of "dope code" but my brother and sister (twins 14 yrs older) would turn out the lights and sing me to sleep with it in the 70s. I always feel "safe" when I hear it, and kinda loved too. Great post Rocky!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7363138865808629218.post-27131713375245068932013-07-20T20:35:08.146-05:002013-07-20T20:35:08.146-05:00I never thought of that, but doggone it, you'r...I never thought of that, but doggone it, you're right. I recently gave my mom a bottle of white wine and many meals went by without her cracking it open. I finally asked her when she was going to have it and she said she was saving it for a special day. At that, I said, "We're not even guaranteed tomorrow, Mom." She got the point and polished that sucker off the following night. :-)
Some Dark RomanticMina Lobohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10173895884776280826noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7363138865808629218.post-64764677864625757412013-07-18T07:12:45.163-05:002013-07-18T07:12:45.163-05:00I always loved that song...it is so sad and wistfu...I always loved that song...it is so sad and wistful.
